I believe even more now than ever before, that the one thing that the enemy wishes to take from believers is their identity.  This was true back in the Garden of Eden when Lucifer tricked Eve into believing a lie.  If you recall he informed her that God did not want her to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, because then she would be like God and know things that God did not want her to know.  However, the deception in all of this is that Eve was already like God.
